How J.A.N.E. OS collects, uses, protects, and gives you control over information.

This Privacy Policy applies to J.A.N.E. OS services operated by Advanced Autonomous Architectures, LLC, including public pages, account services, plant-health tools, facility operations, simulations, reports, and connected-device features.
Information we collect
We may collect account and contact information; authentication and security events; subscription and transaction references; facility, room, equipment, plant, cultivation, environmental, telemetry, weather, and location information you provide or authorize; images, video frames, scans, reports, documents, prompts, conversations, feedback, and support communications; and technical usage, device, browser, network, and diagnostic information. Payment-card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored directly by J.A.N.E. OS.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts; deliver plant-health analysis, operational intelligence, simulations, reports, support, billing, and commissioned integrations; maintain audit and compliance evidence; troubleshoot performance; prevent abuse; calculate service allowances; improve product reliability; and satisfy legal obligations. J.A.N.E. does not treat modeled results as verified physical facts.
AI processing
Images, prompts, operational records, and related context may be sent to contracted AI and infrastructure providers when needed to produce a requested analysis. Outputs can be incomplete or incorrect and require qualified human review. Customer content is not represented as facility-validated evidence merely because an AI system processed it.
Sharing and service providers
We may disclose information to hosting, authentication, storage, communications, observability, payment, mapping, weather, AI, and professional-service providers working on our behalf; to an organization that administers your account; or when required for security, legal process, corporate transactions, or protection of rights. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices change, this policy and applicable controls will be updated before the new practice is introduced.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, preserve security and audit integrity, meet contractual or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by record type and facility policy. Deletion requests may not remove records that must be retained for security, legal, compliance, or immutable audit purposes.
Security
We use role and facility access controls, governed service operations, authentication controls, audit evidence, and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No system is completely secure, and users must protect credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to appeal certain decisions. You may also manage communication and device permissions. Requests can be sent to the privacy contact below; identity verification may be required.
Location and device permissions
Camera, photo, Bluetooth, local-network, and location access is requested only through device or browser permission controls when a feature needs it. You may revoke permissions through device settings, although the related feature may stop working.
Children
J.A.N.E. OS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the service when renewed notice or acknowledgment is appropriate. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@jane-os.com.
